No Undock Options

Normally when you undock from land you have a choice of directions.
Is this universal? There are a couple of ports on the east coast of Fu Put which didn't give me such a choice.
(Quite believe it could be operator error as I only did it once each time and haven't returned.)

If there is only one viable direction then undocking is automatic and no choice offered . This is location dependent - some locations have more than one viable direction others only one.

OK, but I think it's a straight coast line, and other ports have a choice. It's no big deal.

Sometimes the coastline isn't as it appears. I recently ran a sloop aground about 8 pixels off-shore, when it appeared as though I was still an hour from reaching the coast.

It also depends on the distance the town is from the coast - those sea based locations most further away from the actual coast will only have a single direction (in the direction of the perpendicular of the town to the coast ) Those close to the coast will have more options .
