Sailing boats and sailing away from islands

i want to leave and island how do i sail away last time i sailed away from the coast i ended up back at the same coast agian (they locked me up and killed me i guess it was a robbery)

umm i think you have to find that out in game but... if you dont turn around you won't end up at the same coast... and you can change the name of your ship.

so if i sail in a certian direction will i eventaully hit land for example is Cantr round??or will i get hopelessly lost at sea???

No one's quite sure what cantr is... but I believe the current theory is that cantr is a torus (which is like a cylinder with the edges pulled together.) So theoretically, you could sail around the Cantr world. However, getting enough food on a boat to survive that long is a different issue altogether.

If you're going to sail into the blue with no maps and no destination in mind, check your progress everyday. It would suck to sail past a land just because you were tired and didn't want to check Cantr that night.

*Edit* Also keep in mind that west is up.
