tin can repair bug?

A character put his tin can into repair and when finished all of the food in it had vanished. It did not go into his inventory or on the ground. It plain vanished. Combined with what was stored in the can (some sort of dried fish, fries, and two days worth of smoked eat) he has lost at least a months worth of food.

This has to be a bug. If not I make a suggestion: if a tin can or other holdable storage has something in or on it the items should be transfered to the holders inventory when put into repair.

Chris, he's only joking, the objects don't really dissappear! he's just buging you, if you get my drift... but the irony is, you shouldn't get my drift, because it isn't a bug!!! :D :D !!! Just leave it be!! :D

I've put the missing resources back in your tin can.

Storage items shouldn't have deterioration settings for this reason it looks like some newer storage items were enabled with decay settings.

I've turned off deterioration on tin-cans, wooden plates and apothecary kits and set all existing items of these types to brand new. Other storage items are fine and don't decay.

Thank you, but I now have an extra tin can. Be sure to remove the empty one. :D
