Is a character allowed to say that it's pointing to objects in another language, just to try to communicate with another character that doesn't speak the same language as you?

The way I see it is that pointing is part of you expressions, which should be visible to everyone else, hence I hope it is allowed.

Using emotes in English when trying to communicate with / between characters of other language groups is common. And yes, pointing is a visible act.

For movable objects, you can also try picking them up and dropping them.

It is alright to emote in any reaonable language, but if you are still trying to keep it pure, the International Emotes page of the Wiki has grown quite nicely. :)
