Going away for a while

What in-game consequences would there be for my character if out-of-game, I was to go away for two weeks and not log in?

If you put your account on leave, it will not time out. However, your characters can still starve to death or be killed during that time.

As a matter of fact, two weeks is also less than the time-out period when not on leave. Normally an account is deleted after 3 weeks of inactivity. Putting an account on leave, which can last for up to 90 days, will prevent the time-out.
So you don't need to do anything in particular, though you should make sure your characters have enough food and are in relatively safe places.
