Try it and find out. That's how you're supposed to learn things like that.

But i already tried it with the knife and it was a waste, since i don't have the knife anymore and just a bone knife i have to find out again......Its hunting season, i can't waste my attack.

Well then lend it to someone else to test, or just get by without knowing. That's what my chars do, anyway.

That's what the game is all about. Find the answers ingame, you'll never get any answers in the forum.
So just try it out. Unless you have a steel weapon you might not even "waste" an attack.

No, it was rklenseth, as thread starter. I have no access rights in this area, as I would have split it if I were to moderate it.
Finding out object capabilities is somehting to be done in game, losing your attack for a day is something you have to put up with or work around.

So at the end of all this...
Longboats do not require iron nor do they automatically come with a lock and key.
As far as the changes to bone items. If you built something that is no longer there and want the bones back and / or something else to make up the time lost let us know right away. The right away part is so that your activity is still on the system.
