Trouble Logging in

Postby Mr. Bones » Sun Oct 15, 2006 7:56 pm

I tried contacting one of the staff's departments but was redirected here so here's my problem. I have'nt been able to view the webzine since I've been playing (a little more than a hundred days) whenever I click on the link it says something like I don't have permission to view the page. And today I've been trying to log in all day and it keeps saying my account might be expired. Any help would be appreciated. The name on my account is Jason Jeffers.

Well apparantly the login failure had something to do with my browser I guess; I was able to log in with Internet Explorer.

Do you see the Webzine news page when you log out? If so have you tried clicking the 'Contents' tab?

Have you tried clearing cache and cookies? I havent really had any problems with FF on this site, or any other for that matter. IE is not something I really like using so I wouldnt know where to start on that one.

I've been able to login and read the webzine with Internet Explorer. I've only had problems with my netscape browser.

It isn't the webzine that I am having the problem with, just my Cantr account.

(Honestly, I can't find a link to get an account for the webzine, so I haven't actually tried to.)

You should have no problem now with logging into Cantr itself - reagrdless of browser

The Webzine doesn't require a login - The public parts of the webzine site can be accessed without a login. The Login is only required for Webzine Staff

I'm experienceing a number of odd "Cookies expired" messages for all my characters. Tried on a total of 5 computers now, running IE5, 6, and Firefox 1 (& 2). Sometimes, I can login and check my characters fine, then suddenly when I type somehting it errors out that my cookies are expired.

Sometimes I get to the character's screen, try to check inventory, and get booted off. Other times, I'll be adding materials to a project, and *bop* offline again.

It's starting to get quite annoying, and I'm keeping records of when/what I'm doing, bu so far it seems really quite random. Anything from immediately upon seeing the day's events and clicking -anything- else like speaking/inventory/buildings/etc. to sometimes being able to play for a good solid 20 minutes checking eight different characters before hte error pops up again.
Any hints? Could it just be me? :?:
