Wooden plates: knife not recognised

Postby Agar » Fri Oct 06, 2006 4:32 am

I have added all the materials to a wooden plate, have a hammer and a knife, but the knife is still greyed out and I get an error when I try to work on the project.

The knife is a bone knife, but last time I checked, that was still a knife.

Before anyone gets to being a wiseass, I'm over a hundered days out to sea, so no, I can't get more wood, or trade for iron or steel to make a "knife", and I'm a bit pissed that the knife I have isn't a knife for the wooden plate, and there absolutly no way at all to know that the bone knife would not work on the project before I'd already wasted my wood.

The apothocary kit takes that weird bodkin, the tin can needs those high end pliers, I figured as little capacity as the plate had, it was intended for the iron and steel poor, and any knife would do, just like any knife will do on any other project that lists a knife as a requirement. My stone hammer works fine, I don't need a high end hammer, why do I need a high end "knife"?

Get this fixed.
Reality was never my strong point.

I took a quick look into it, looks like it should let you use a bone knife... guess we'll need someone else here...

When it was originally added, there was a typo in the object requirements. So the plate actually required a tool that does not exist. That typo has since been fixed, but your project (which was started before that change) will need to be updated by the ProgD.

Sorry about that.
