Time limit statistics

Try as I might I just can't get the above page to load.... is it just me... is it even interesting?

Beneath the player menu, Game Administration Menu..

click on statistics and its one of the links on that page...

That first stats page seems to use a lot of resources....

58.393 seconds taken, 93 queries executed (SQL took 58.057 seconds - 99.4%).

I think I started a topic about this in some point. It turned out not even Jos himself can understand those statistics. They're competely odd, showing that apparently the vast majority of Cantr players never logs in, or something like that. Originally clicking the statistics link lead to that page, but those who wanted to see language group statistics complained, so the link was changed to point at the language groups page.

Aha managed to load it on IE6

Took a Looooong time!

196.895 seconds taken, 54226 queries executed (SQL took 188.632 seconds - 95.8%).


And yes it was pretty much meaningless to me...

Pay attention (no offense), that's the main stats page that does load but takes a while... I am referring to a page that links from that page..

It would seem the 'Time limit statistics' should be taken off, cos if anyone nosies around like me they probably just cause a massive drain on resources...

I was able to get it to load:
319.249 seconds taken, 54227 queries executed (SQL took 310.232 seconds - 97.2%).

I find the information on that page very useless, unless I just don't understand it.

Right, so 54,000 queries takes a while. This comes as no surprise to me. And why again are we so worried about the loading rate of a page of useless information that nobody seems to know the existence of in the first place? Sorry if I am just being too practical here.

Well strictly speaking people don't know it's useless until after 54,000 queries ;) ...

The data analysis could be rewritten - the current routines are far from optimal but this is probably quite low on ProgD's list of things to do

Why not just get rid of it.... tha language areas is of interest to all, this isn't... Don't have a link with an interesting title then expect people likeme not to click on it.
