Having trouble getting into IRC

This is the message I get when I sign into IRC... Please help!!
Connecting
Unable to connect : Java.net.UnknownHostException : irc.gnug.org
I am getting soooo punished....

Check your firewall(s) / virus checkers (McAffee in particular has a setting which stops all IRC connections)

Where would you find, McAffee?

It's only applicable if you have a McAffee Firewall installed on your computer. If there's a red and white M in your system tray then you do.

I dont have McFee and all my firewalls are turned off. I have been dying to talk to some friends in the chat room please help.... I am getting lonely. *smiles*

Some ISPs, for some unknown reason block the ports for you, The only way I can access IRC, should I wish to be sworn at or ignored is here

(you need to go into another room then /join #cantr)

My trusty brother has beaten the hackers of my computer. They deleted Java and put a virus on it. I am back a running on IRC again. Thanks for trying to help everyone.
