A stone table apparently does the same things as a workbench, do i have to have a workbench specifically present for a steel peen hammer, or will a stone table work too?
It only says workbench in the tool construction thingy.

then you need a workbench not a stone table

i was asking because looking in the wiki led me to the conclusion that a workbench and a stonetable do exactly the same thing, actually a stone table does more. But it seems odd that you can only use the inferior one on the project

A stone table doesn't do any more than a work bench ,nor is it superior. The work bench can be used for more things - aside for the 17 crushing and coin reclaiming projects which both can handle, the work bench can also be used to make asparagus harvesting knives, steel & bronze peen hammers and circuit boards.
