If so it's probably not the exact same message. If it happens again, please post the errors in this thread.

Somehow I think this is in the wrong thread, but if it is, feel free to move it.

Code: Select all

ERROR: The%252Banimal%252Bpack%252Byou%252Bhave%252Bchoosen%252Bis%252Bnot%252Bin%252Byour%252Blocation=

I got this after trying to hunt; after double-checking, all the animals I had tried were still in the location.
I tried hunting again, the same animals, and it worked.
I have not been able to replicate the situation.
Just thought I should report it.

Thanks. Seems a little odd, and hard to investigate. The only thing that comes to mind are that you could have been hunting exactly at the same time as the animal processing were running, and that an animal you tried to attack migrated away or something. If anyone else see this try to send an much details as you can (species and numbers of animals and so on). Hitting the back button twice and copy paste the animals, then have another refresh of the animal page and see of the number of different species differs is a good idea too.

It was right after the animal processes; my character had just been attacked by a water buffalo approximately three IG minutes prior (unless there's another animal tick different from the attacking one that I don't know about).
I attacked a tiger, striped hyena, warthog, and a water buffalo.
I was using Mozilla Firefox on Windows 7 home edition.

Oh, and one other thing: another character in the location had attacked a striped hyena right as I was attacking, so perhaps that could have something to do with it...? I don't know whether the other character's player experienced anything like what I saw, though.

It could have had something to do with that then. *shrugs*

Did they kill it? That would be the most likely explanation. Since migration is turned off, and wounded animals aren't supposed to migrate anyway, the only way this error would make sense is if the animal was killed or died of old age during that process.

The pack doesn't matter. Attacks occur against individual animals, specifically, the same animal. The error message is probably a relic from the old pack system days.

Prior to this it was a bit laggy, but there were no listed running processes.

It happens during daily backup at 06:30 GMT, and sometimes when the database becomes very busy.

While removing a hide vest.

<edit could replicate the error, but a change in location removed the problem>
