Do you mean it would be breaking a rule by already knowing Spanish? Like, you have an English speaking character, they land on a Spanish speaking island, and using your knowledge (But not the characters knowledge) You begin speaking Spanish? Since your character is only supposed to speak English, it might be a breach of rules... I don't know... A little confusing...

YEs, speaking another language using ooc information. but if youre caricter spawned in the spanish area and it's a spanish caricter it's ok.

Exploring using OOC information is a definite no-no. Sending your character out with the thought "I want to find people speaking Spanish" is a bad thing, if your character has never encountered or heard about Spanish before.
But if you give your character IC motivation to explore with no such specific objective in mind ("I want to find new islands"), that ought to be all right. It's a fine line, and you'd probably be better off waiting for a PD member to say something about it.
