When do you know enough is enough? (info request)

Postby The Sociologist » Wed Mar 30, 2005 12:25 am

I'm assuming there are limits to the number of extensions that can be added to a room, and also to the number of machines that can be built in a room.

When do you know you're exceeding the limit? When you try to set up a new project? Or does it just go *poof* when the project ends. Yes I know, find out in-game etc, etc. Except that is this instance it will be a seriously expensive way to find out. Help please?

I have never seen a limit (and I've gone relatively deep-several rooms in) , which leads me to believe there are no limits.

Only know of capacity limits in vehicles/buildings/ext.

As far as I can think, the most simple and efficient way to store buildings and the rooms inside them would allow infinite-sized buildings with infinitely stacked infinitely spread rooms.

Of course, the database itself has size restrictions.

There is a maximum number of buildings per location, depending on the type of area, and there is maximum number of rooms per room. Warnings should show when you try to start the building project.

so you can only build so many extensions within a given room, but does that include rooms within those extensions?

example to help illustrate

building A has room 1 inside it inside room 1 is extension B and C.
So, do the rooms built inside extns B and C count towards the total rooms for room 1?

Excellent. That's what I wanted to know. I was hoping that any warning will show when an attempt is made to start the project, so I'm much reassured. Thanks! :D
