Can't see Location map on boat.

Postby Rustoleum » Tue Mar 15, 2005 4:32 am

Since Flyspray seems to have not made the move to the new server yet...

I'm not getting the "map" picture at sea, which is bad, since I lost contact with the coastline I was following a couple days back and am trying to backtrack.

Could you state briefly whether or not you're still having this problem?

Non-English?

Postby Thomcat » Tue Mar 15, 2005 2:14 pm

I have the problem with all of my non-english characters. Perhaps part of the map got put in the wrong spot on the new server?

It's important for me, but I'll second the importance for the sailor --- trapped at sea and not even able to see the sea? Yowch! Must be a pretty bad storm!

Clarification

Postby Thomcat » Tue Mar 15, 2005 5:58 pm

My english speaking characters can all see their location maps, regardless of whether they are in town or at sea.

My russian speaking characters, both on land, cannot see the same map. As of 9:56 am PST.

I've got the same problem with my char "Ashragon".

The last time I could see anything, he was northwest of "Fozhen Swin Nor".

Repeatedly hitting the location button seems to finally do the trick. Takes 4 or 5 tries each time.

Just refreshing the browser does not work. A small price to pay for the vastly faster overall responsiveness though. :)

I see a blank water location map when I'm on my boat docked on a larger one, even though I clearly see coast when I'm in the larger one.

Doesn't work on the Russian land. Not in a boat, so I can't say whether it would work there

And yes, I'm still having the problem. The Powers That Be can't figure out why this is happening yet, but they are looking into it.

Yeah, I've had that for a long time. I think that bug is not related to this one.
