Odd resource output using machinery

Postby SumBum » Sat May 09, 2015 1:54 am

Has something been changed with the way machinery projects work? Each tick, I set up a project for 1 day on a limestone quarry and cancelled it immediately after the tick. Nothing changed with my char in between (no animal attacks, no sparring or dragging to make it tired, etc). Each time I cancel the project the amount of resources gained drops even though my progress was approximately 10% each time.

4696-5.01: Project cancellation resulted in 375 grams of limestone.
4696-5.01: You cancelled project "Drilling for limestone".
4696-4.02: Project cancellation resulted in 418 grams of limestone.
4696-4.02: You cancelled project "Drilling for limestone".
4696-3.02: Project cancellation resulted in 540 grams of limestone.
4696-3.02: You cancelled project "Drilling for limestone".

If you finish a machine project by completing it, the amount you collect is fixed (4400g/d). If you cancel a digging machine project the 20% variation for collecting resources comes into effect.
10% progress could thus give a result between 352 and 528 grams (440 average).
I think ...

Yes, that's exactly why I'm reporting the variable output.... This was done with a machine (quarry).

Edit: It was kindly pointed out to me that I misread Tiamo's response. I'd cancelled machine projects before and didn't recall getting a varied output. If that's how it works then I've learned something new!
