Operations on multiple notes bug

When I click operations on multiple notes, it replicates some or all of my notes multiple times over. I don't know if it's just replicating them on the screen, or if it's actually making copies, but I can't seem to get a handle on my duplicates no matter what I do. It's like dealing with tribbles.

How I know:

I put all my notes into one envelope, and removed duplicates. I verified no notes were in my inventory. I emptied the envelope with all my notes. I operations on multiple notes. I see many duplicates.

Are you sure they're true duplicates? I only ask because I have 15 law notes from one town with the only difference in them being an "updated" date inside the note. At first I thought the function wasn't working until I started opening them up to compare side by side.

There's a post by Greek somewhere that explains the system behind it, but I'm not able to find it. In short, not all duplicates will be removed because the game doesn't recognise them as such (even though they are identical). If I'm not mistaken, only copies of uneditable notes will be removed with a certainty. Especially older, editable notes are an issue.

Getting rid of duplicates isn't the problem though, by the sound of it. It's that duplicates appear to be getting created unintentionally.

It's probably what Wiro said. Dunno. I just don't know how I can go through, put 25 maps into my map envelope, and then go back later and find out I missed 20 others.

Now an envelope has vanished. There really ought to be an easier way to do this. Giving us sort options would be greatly appreciated.

edit: The envelope didn't vanish, it just didn't show up in the pull-down menu of envelopes
