tortoiseshell hard hat

Postby Pirog » Mon Oct 25, 2004 1:29 am

It says that the project needs "shell"...but does that even exist in the game? If it does it must be very uncommon...and I see no need for it being a vital part in such an otherwise wonderful head gear :)

There's a shield that takes the same resource. I think it comes from the vicious scarabs of...uh...someplace.

Well...if it comes from another animal it is just silly to put in on the same project as the turtle shell hat. Damn it! I want that hat!

Nope

Don't believe you. The sheild that uses said material (shell, not tortoiseshell) is the Chitin Shield. Chitin is the material that makes up insect exoskeletons. Scarabs are insects IRL, and exist in cantr. And estimating from forum chatter, the shield and the bugs came at about the same time.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were wiped out of the game and now prevents anyone from constructing turtle shell hats...

I've only ever seen them one place, and that place is pretty miserable and uninhabited now.

I have seen a person with a tortishell shield. It was rather impressive. It may still be possible, if no one exticts anything
Reality was never my strong point.

Shields are not that hard to come by...they don't demand the elusive and mysterious scarab.

But seriously...isn't it time to remove the scarab shell part in the turtle hat?

Fixed, you'll have to start a new project though. If you already started one and added some resources, contact bugs@cantr.net
