Possible Weight Bug
One of my characters was at max capacity. I started a lot of projects in the town and as other people finished them, my weight kept going over 15,000 and reached near 16,000. My thought is those items should end up on the ground. I don't think this is a fluke as it went up little by little to get to that.

I think it only ends up on the ground if it's a resource, objects end up in the inventory even if there wasn't enough space. I remember someone going over the limit due to car parts, and many occurances of people going over the limit due to repairs.

This certainly isn't a new problem and a difficult one to exploit, even more so on your own. Resources go to the ground, it is only repairs that add the extra weight. even set at 1 hour repairs, how many will it take, and for what purpose would you want to carry the added weight?

Indeed, exploitation is minimal. Although I think my over-weight was caused by the finishing of a crossbow..

Still, what advantage is there to carrying extra weight?

If somebody needs to carry a lot of stuff between places and they don't have a vehicle, and they don't care about how slowly they go because making two trips would always take more time in any case.

Re: Possible Weight Bug
But if it is only repairs that can add the weight, or building a crossbow or something, it would take you far more time to do the repairs than to just make 2 trips.. It isn't like you can dig 16000 grams of coal and have it end up in your inventory..

Re: Possible Weight Bug
I think it's repairs and manufacturing anything that's not a raw resource, because my character had carved a large wooden shaft and when it was finished it ended up in her inventory making it over 15kg even though it wasn't a repair project. Sunni's right; you're not going to mine 16000g coal and be able to carry all of it at once, even if the project is for 16000g with no repeat..

It's just as well my tool trader hasn't noticed this yet. The only reason he's renting a building from a town is to store the tools and weapons he can't carry. Them bellows are useful for trade, but weighing over a kilo makes things tedious.
