Has the speed description been changed?

Postby SekoETC » Mon Aug 16, 2004 2:14 pm

Before if you entered 100% in the box and we're carrying something heavy, the number would be automatically reduced some and you would see for example 89% when you check the page next time. Now even if it says 100% there may still be people walking faster than you. Has this been changed on purpose or did it somehow happen by itself? I understand that the new 100% is the maximum speed the person can walk with the current load, but it was more clear with the old system when 100% was the ultimate maximum for a person carrying nothing.

It was never the way you described it first. 100% was always the maximum speed the person could go with their current weightload.

I think her confusion comes in from when you type a manual speed value. By typing in 89 for your speed, checking the next time, it might be at 82. It changed. I notice it all the time, myself. I just thought perhaps there were predefined speed values, and it automatically selected the closest one to the value you entered...

That is probably the case, yes.
