3443-6.28: You novicely hurt an elephant using a brand new steel battle axe, which loses 0 strength.
Is this normal? 3 times I tried and all three with 0 result. I am a lost soul here.
I can send you by pm my character and location, although I am inside a building at the time being, cause the elephants are hitting me a lot harder and I need to survive. *chucles*

Elephants have a rather high natural damage resistance. If your damage potential is lower than the elephants resistance, you won't do any damage.
Are you wounded and/or weak? If yes, this might be the explanation.

Weak and wounded yes. Ok, since it is not a technical error , I will have to admit defeat in the face of those elephants.
