Why is this considered a weapon instead of a tool?
Edit: I should clarify... When repairing a bucket, it uses the skill for making weapons. Seems odd.

Re: Bucket
Actually the iron bucket uses the "manufacturing machines" skill, which kinda makes sense since it's a portable machine. We can change it to tools though.

Re: Bucket
That's odd, too. It makes sense that it would fall under machines except that is not the skill used to repair them either. I only noticed this because I have a new char I wanted to check skill levels on. After repairing a bucket, neither tools nor machinery skills show up (weapons was already visible and the only other two that level are cooking and carpentry).
It was a wooden bucket, though that shouldn't make a difference unless they were accidentally set up different.

Ah, wooden buckets use carpentry. We usually use that for anything connected with wood.

Really? Can't believe I never noticed that before. I always thought once something was manufactured into a tool/weapon that was the skill that dictated its repair. Granted, buckets are used as machines too, but they fall under the tool category in a lot of places.
Sorry to be a bother!

Not at all. Skills can be assigned freely, so it's not possible to determine which one they use without checking the wiki. Logic alone is often not sufficient.
