Gas in Vehicle

Postby Meem » Thu Dec 16, 2010 7:15 pm

Hi, I think I just had a bit of a problem. One of my characters put some gas, about 800g into a tank with some other stuff. and it equaled the full 1k. I go to one town, it's fine and then the next town, half way down the road it's completely empty. I don't think I've seen it go by that quickly because he was originally running on 700g full and went to many towns.

Help?

You need to refine the gas to propane for it to be used in the engine.

Augh...I'm so dumb.

Okay...

But on the other side. The 1000g of petrol I had in the engine disappeared within a day. Why did it do that?

Fuel usage rates seem to be fine, so I think we can exclude that the hacker set them to one million or something like that. (If you'd tell me the vehicle and engine type I could look for certain.)

Could it be that someone simply took the fuel?

Also, are there two engines in the vehicle?

Heartswater Hawk, a station car, and a Car engine B

And no one could have taken the fuel. No one else was in the car. Maybe I just don't remember...but it seemed really odd.
and there's only one engine in there.

I had a similar problem with a character's vehicle running out of fuel very fast, but it turned out that the fuel really does go down that fast. So, it's hard to be sure..I'm assuming you mean propane instead of gas?

The situation looks indded fine from the RD's perpective (if it were the hacker's fault, it should have caused trouble since relaunch anyway).

Nope, the petrol. *nod nod* I had no propane, I don't think. It's hard to remember now -_- Gah. Here's hoping the next town has fuel..

Well, I've been driving all over the place with 3 of my charries and not noticed anything out of the ordinary. The larger vehicles get crappy mileage to start out with, and if you have them fully loaded, it get's sucked down fast. Still, doesn't seem like it should go down as fast as Meem described.
