Stuck ship

Postby Sunni Daez » Fri Jan 02, 2009 11:37 am

The map on the location page says I am a fair distance from shore.. but every time I try to move 180.. I hit a coast, my map only show a sliver of coast at 270 I tried moving 0 and it did, tried 90, it did... My map is screwed up or something won't let me move 180.. The ship is the moon runner, off the coast of fu put.

If it's off the east coast, I once had that trouble going north. I, too, tried getting round the obstacle but had to call for help, like you.
(It certainly doesn't happen every time, just passed that way myself.)

Well it isn't detected by the regular sailing fixing script so if this is a bug, it's not the usual one. It could be an invisible reef, in which case it might show up as a slightly different colored blotch if you copy the map image to MSPaint and floodfill the regular sea with white. If it turns out that there's an invisible reef then sailing in the right direction will be likely to get you off. But if the sea surrounding the boat dot is exactly the same color as most of the sea then it's a mystery and might be difficult to fix. Someone with db access can change the coordinates of where the boat is located but sometimes the boat will just end up getting stuck again.
