French tools

Postby notsure » Sat Dec 22, 2007 7:26 pm

There are several hammers listed in English to complete a machete blade, among those the flatter and the setter. In the French list of tools, the marteau à tête aplati is listed twice, once with the translation flatter and once with the translation setter, with the same wood and steel requirements.

Are they two different things? Should I just make two exactly alike in French Land and hope they work differently?

I have all the other tools and can't begin my project.

You will need to make both the set hammer and flatter. I'll try and get the display name adjusted so that you will be able to distinguish the two once they are made.
