3 chars in 24 hours

Postby thingnumber2 » Thu Feb 26, 2004 1:56 am

Can you make it so the animals have to wait a turn before attacking again? I have lost 3 characters in 24 hours, 2 of them in the past 8 hours when I had no chance at all to even leave or anything...in fact, I was pretty much dead the second my characters arrived in the town, and they had shields and everything...it's just kind of frustrating...

I can't do anything about it. Should be filed under suggestions.

Hm..maybe my characters are just lucky. I haven't lost any. Could be that most of them are pretty well-shielded, or live in heavily populated areas, or are on boats.

well, it's not so bad in most populated places, but in the un-explored areas, it's pretty crazy, you'd need a small army to get through...

Not really. Most populated areas already got, or will get, the animals from the unpopulated areas. In a few days everywhere will be agressive animals destroying towns and civilizations. something to look forward to

Owh and you don't need a small army, but a HUGE army, cauz the animals really know how to breed. First there will come 1 animal.. then there will be 5... then they just out-number the humans.

Not one of my characters has been attacked by an animal since the population explosion... It's weird. Even the horses I've been filling with arrows stay tame. Maybe I just have a way with animals...

animals

Postby g1asswa1ker » Fri Feb 27, 2004 4:03 pm

Kinda wish they would seperate the animals out to individuals since they can hit more then once a day we should be able to hit each of them atleast once. Oh and to whom ever put more into the game thanks I love the numbers it's forceing the bleeding hearts to allow some of them to killed for there resources. I do find it funny that in someplace you couldn't kill one or they would kill you or lock you up but the second you need it for makng bellows for steel or iron works bamm they wanted some animals to die so they can have the hide.

I'm the same, Kroner. I haven't seen a single attack, and the horses have gone tame now. But they weren't able to penetrate my shield anyways, so it was fine before.

Wasn't it the old horses were called "Wild Horses"? or am I wrong... these are called "Horses." Also found in the Miron Region.

I would like to point out that in oder for animals to breed there must be two of them on the same location. So if an aggressive animals does happen to enter a town where it does not have a mate then it will not breed.

Not that I am aware.

I encourge people to make detailed observations on what they see from this point forward in game.

I had a charcter one time that has a theory that horses only attacked men. This was later disproven.

It would be interesting to post your characters thories based on observations from this point forward somewhere on the forum.

This may inspire future programmers to let the animals behave in the odd ways your chracters predict.
