Death Turn Reports

Postby N-Aldwitch » Sat Feb 03, 2007 1:46 pm

Why haven't I received death turn reports for any major character I have?

Including Felin Ginger and Ellarv Lystro..

Only a few minor ones- much of the minor character's death reports get sent to me.

I emailed players at cantr.net about Felin Ginger and they did nothing.

(edit: they didnt do nothing, an auto-bot asked me to confirm that the email I used was the accounts email or something by replying, and I did that, and to no avail)

It may be because I changed emails for Cantr recently.

It is NOW EDIT Email Addresses removed by CJ for your own security

That is just bad luck - once a death report has been generated and dispatched then the necessary information to recreate it is removed and it can't be recreated. If it fails to arrive at your registered email address then there is nothing we can do.

There is no email from you since the death of either character in the email archives . If you do need to contact the players department then you should use the "Contact Cantr II Departments" link near the bottom of your player page. players@cantr.net has been a closed email list for a good few months now (and in-game announcement was made)

The actual message you would have received would have been

"You are not allowed to post to this mailing list, and your message has
been automatically rejected. If you think that your messages are
being rejected in error, contact the mailing list owner at
players-owner@cantr.net. Alternatively please check the main home page
for other ways to contact staff or lists members."

Maybe they went to your old email address? If you still have access, I'd suggest checking them just in case.

Is it possible that Death Reports could be retained for a while after sending? (I've never had a Death Report, so I don't know about them). If they're basically the same as Turn Reports, maybe there could be a 'backup' address that they get CCed to. An official address that players can request backups from.

To hi-jadck this thread... I always used to have trouble with Cantr e-mails, and may still be doing so. I posted, via that contact link to the players dept a week or so ago, and to support 2 days back, and haven't heard anything. And my support query hasn't been sorted.

Chris, that's the one (I did it a while ago and never received a reply), I emailed players-owner@cantr.net ... didn't work :P

Also, what's worse is that I have turn reports for when they died, and they're not included in them.

It's like it's a conspiracy to remove my exciting characters and make me bored of Cantr and thus quit!!!! :P

The one time I e-mailed something to the players department using the links on the Cantr main page, I didn't get a reply - was a few weeks ago now I think...

Problem may well have been sorted (I haven't particularly noticed) but would have been nice to get a reply. Maybe it went into my junk mail folder, but since it would have been a personal reply to me, I'm not sure why it would have been filtered into there... *shrugs*
