Adding resources to a project automatically not working

Postby Razorlance » Fri Jan 19, 2007 7:52 pm

I was trying to set up a dung drying project on a fire pit, when I noticed the new options to automatically add the resources. I had 410g of dung in my inventory and picked the 'add all I have' option, but it only added 1g.

Probably your project was just to make 1 g of dried dung?

What does not work is when to make something to name first. Even if you pick the add all option it does not add anything.

Yeah, I forgot to specify how much I wanted to make, so it defaulted to zero. I thought the 'add all I have' option would set the output based on how much I had, not the other way around.

Yeah, it doesn't work. It's not smart enough to size the project based on what you've got, so if the option is asked before you define the size of the project, it apparently screws it up. I haven't tried it myself but I've seen others messing up with it. "Add if I have all the resources" worked fine on some tool but that's because the weights are known.

That has been fixed - as well as the naming issue Scuba mentioned.

Okay people... I think you're confused about what the funcionality of it is... it lets you not have to go click on each resource to add to the project... you still need to tell it how big of a project you want to do, so you still get to pop open a calculator to find out how much output you want.

On which machine?
I think there may be a couple of grilling projects or something that are a predetermined size...
