Problems with my Dirt Bike..

Postby Rappy » Sat Apr 29, 2006 9:34 am

I have built a dirt bike recently and i have just found that it cant hold much weight, where on the wiki it says that dirt bikes can hold 75000g of weight. i tried to get on board with 10kg in my inventory and it wouldnt let me, i left 1kg out and i could get on....what is this all about? is it just that a dirt bike cant hold the weight or is it a bug?

The Wiki (correctly) states the Dirt bike can hold 70200 grams

With a Cantr body weighing 60000g and most probably a lock on the bike
this leaves 10020g . It sounds like you were carrying more than that or there was already some items on the bike

EDIT : And I forgot the 1160g Engine - thanks Talapus :D

No, the wiki says that a dirt bike can hold 70200g of weight, which is correct. You weigh 60000g, the lock weighs 180g, and the engine weighs 1160g. That leaves 8860g of space for other things including materials in your inventory.

No, what you have mentioned does not constitute a bug.

Edit: It appears that Chris beat me to it.

So a person carrying 8860 can get on, but not carrying 8861.

It'll be fine once you start riding it though. They're so bleeming fast

You can also pass things to people on vehicles and overload them. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but I noticed an overloaded bike travels at about walking speed. Only tried it on a bike cart though.

I've been in town on one of my dirt bikes, been passed things, and finished repair projects to end up holding some 11 kilos and counting.

It is a bit slower, and, if I get off, I can't get back on ... Guess I won't be getting off my bike anytime soon!

No weight problem because i haven't built a dirt motorcycle yet... I'm simply trying to set up a motorcycle engine project and i get a error message. The project just doesn't appear now what is wrong?

It can only be build inside a Dirt motorcycle and Road motorcycle.

First build those and then build the engine in it.
