Postby Torkess_theCommie » Sat Jul 08, 2006 7:15 pm

On the character selection page (is that what it's called?)
Under the heading "DISCUSS CANTR"
The link to the forums is not working because it links to this url

In any case, that's a simple fix. the HTML just needs to be changed from single quotes to double.

yea I realize it's probably just a typo, but why take so long to fix something so simple?

Because it is not as straight forward as a simple typo. Most pages in Cantr are dynamically constructed when requested and are translated into the appropriate players language on the fly. Consequently it is not a simple case of opening a single file and making one change - Here we have to identify which text string contains the error in the page template, then extract the text from the database , edit all 14 language versions, test the issue is fixed and then commit the changes. Complex but probably not more than a 20 minute job . However staff resources are limited and whilst we accept this is a bug, it's not one we give priority to as it doesn't impact on game play unlike other bugs and issues.

It has now been fixed

When this started happening, I had just downloaded Firefox, so I figured it was the browser...
But it appears I was wrong, thankfully. :D
All of my endings are waiting to begin.
