All projects had been fixed not just Talapus' one . Your project should now say something more reasonable and is inline with the actual output.
The "you don't have the right tools" is good
...that means the project progress part is working correctly. You can only gather Timber if you have at least one of the approriate tools (Axe,3/4 Axe or Battle Axe)
If your character does have the approriate tools then there is a problem. Can you let me know if that is the case

My character has got an axe in his inventory, but still can't farm timber. You've got a pm with details...
