Spawning back on!
Hey folks. Given the lack of interest in the Russian language, Jos has recommended that spawning be shut off for this language group. That means your existing characters will be fine, but no more will be spawned. I'm letting you know now, in case you have strong objections that you'd like to voice.

Re: Shutting down spawning
We're currently looking into allowing spawning in the Russian language group again, since we've had a few players expressing interest in this. The following email was sent to all players who have Russia as their country and/or language:
Please note that in the mean while, it is not allowed to spawn a player in another language and play them as if they were Russian.
Hi,
The reason you are getting this email is because you have given your country of origin as Russia, or having your current language as Russian, or both, in your Cantr account.
Recently we have had a couple of requests to once again open up the Russian language group for spawning. To be able to do this, we have a few rules:
- There should be at least 4 players, who are willing to play in Russian, and spawn Russian characters (not necessarily exclusively, but at least a few).
- There should be at least one player willing to work on the translation, and apply for a membership with the Language Department in Cantr.
- There should be at least one player willing to work with marketing, and apply for a membership with the Public Relations Department in Cantr.
- We'd really like someone to be able to help the Russian players, so having one person fluent in Russian and English, applying for the Players Department would also be very helpful.
The three latter players could ofcourse be people within the four people required to play the game.
So this is the situation, and that is why we write and ask if you would consider applying for any of the above positions. Or if you are not currently having Russian characters, would you spawn some if we once again allowed this?
Best Regards,
Fredrik

Re: Shutting down spawning
I am willing to play in Russian part and work for the translation department. I already sent Doug R. an email about this.
