Repeat Projects, notification of resources dropped.

Postby Phalynx » Sat May 20, 2006 6:55 am

When you complete the final repat of a a project for someone else who is not there you get you a message telling you the project is finished and how much has been dropped...

However you dont get message when each repeat occurs... you work away happily dropping stuff all over the ground. Please can we have a notification each time the project repeats. My character will then now exactly how much of the stuff on the ground is his - this is important because with the amount you produce being variable you cannot be sure of amounts otherwise..

(sorry if this has already been suggest/discussed I am a very lazy man)

Yes please. I've thought so for a long time, and I'm sure it's been suggested before... but nothing was done, obviously.

There are significant implcations of what seems like a simple change

1) This means that (obviously as this is whats being suggested) that an event will be generated everytime a repeat is finished for all working on the project and the project initiator. Therefore everytime this happens the characters' name will be highlighted due to the new event.

2) There will also be around 12.5% additional events being being generated everyday which in this case equates to about 3.5% additional unique observeable events . Not an insignificant increase in server resources - This will slow down events pages for all players regardless of
whether they were involved in the project - it will be less of a slowdown if the event generated is not for them but there will still be some impact.

So that's a no then?

Is there a work around, another way of having the information?
