Could it be possible that this would be a form of newspaper that every character in Cantr reads and get news out of it?
For example, if someone died, it'll be written in the newspaper and then everyone will know about it... Like a universal newspaper... Bad idea?

Yes, bad idea. 
First of all the webzine is OOC and contains OOC information.
Besides, the "newspaper" or at least the knowledge would be spread by some kind of god.
For example, do you know who died here in the Netherlands today? Even I don't know. God refuses to tell me....
Ofcourse you are more than welcome to have one of your characters to start a newspaper which is spread through a whole island. I wish you good luck as well.
