Describe youreslf
I was thinking perhaps we could have a field that was editable on on your character description page that would be visible to anyone who saw your character. This would show up right after "[he|she] is in [his|her] [twenties|thirties|fourties...].
This would allow players to describe the character they envision, things like hair color, general body appearance or things noticable to those looking at the character. For exampe....
He is in his thirties, he is barrel chested with long black hair and an unkept beard. He is working on the project 'digging for coal'

Yeah, and then there would be so many look-a-likes.
The only way it might work is if when making a new character you set the description but it has to be approved by the PD, but that might be too time consuming.

How about just letting it be totally free form, BUT with a button to rat to the PD if you see something inappropriate. When anyone could be easily tracked, people wouldn't dare risking to get their account frozen. Hah. Because people can write almost anything in RP already, the problem is they must be online to do that and there must be somebody in the same space to read it.
Example: Imagine arriving in a small location where all the people have timezone +/- 12 hours to yours. They have a law that says if people don't show activity withing a day of their arrival, they are to be punished. You don't know about this law before arriving and you are busy with your other characters so you don't bother to check. The next thing you know you're in a cell, no one would hear you knocking. BUT your character is illiterate. Would you be desperate enough to play against your character just to keep him alive? Now if you could write in your character description just about anything, "He's sitting in the corner, glancing about nervously." you would show them that you are an active, intelligent person rather than some sleeping moron who's just wandering about stealing sand and bones and trying to eat them.

I like Crosshair's the best. But also, it would be stupid if you could change your description in the middle of the game. Like...
While In Siom: "A short, blonde haired man, with pale green eyes stands around."
Then you travel to somewhere else and when you get there: "A tall, black scraggly hair man, with bright blue eyes that towers around everyone else."
The descriptions should not be adjustable in game.

Yup. and i say that people with established characters get to choose what they look like as if they were newspawns. but they stay as they are obviously.

Thats what i said. but i'm saying characters which are already without them should get the one time oppertunity to choose how they look.
