Bridges
Cantr evolution (No matter how 'effed up it is) has surpassed the time of basic bridges, and is nearing the time of iron-class bridges. As such, I suggest that Bridges be something implemented into the game.
Sure, we've got all these locations, but some are seperated by small lakes, or by a narrow neck of sea, and it's an inconvenience to build or hire a boat to cross these small channels. So, by adding a new road type, a 'Bridge', would it be possible to have characters construct these, much like a road?
You could start with the most basic of all bridges, the stone bridge (I realise the rope & wood is more basic than the stone, however, for game play reasons, due to rope being harder to acquire than stone alone, it's not now.). These new roads would just connect close places, defined by New Lands, however, the road would allow nothing to cross, since there's no bridge yet (It's just an imaginary connection). Then, by using the "Improve Bridge" button, the next bridge type could be made. Horrah, a Stone Bridge. This could connect such close places, as an example, Longinazy and Shortinazy. After the Stone Bridge would come the Iron Bridge, then Steel Bridge, or something to that extent.
Of course, I realise some bridges only extend so far (Ie: A Steel Bridge can span across the bottom of Europe and connect to the top of Afraica, while a Stone Bridge could probably only span a creek or river.), however, gameplay issues again. It would be a hassle to have to program bridge lengths, and checks to see what bridge must be built first, etc.
So, who agrees, and who disagrees? Honestly, there aren't MANY places that are close and could use a bridge, but if ever more locations are put in on new islands, or something to that extent, it may be useful. It might even also be interesting to cut off part of a location, and only have it accessable by bridges. So, it can't be built until others build those bridges (Or build a boat, of course). That would be interesting.

Paths are all manually added to the game. Essentially, the bridge would be the same as a road, except with different types. (Not "sand road", "paved road", etc.) Each of those types must be defined for what can be on it. Ie: Can a car travel on this road?. So, it would essentially be easy, the first bridge connection (The most basic road type, you could say) would disallow ANYTHING to go on it, to simulate that no bridge exists yet. You'd still see the link, in order to 'try' and cross ("There is no bridge built yet"), and so that you can improve the bridge (Or build the first bridge).
Does that make sense?

There's no need for bridges. How many locations would a bridge even be needed in? Unless there are more rivers, although it's more like, rivers at all, how many places could two towns be connected with a bridge?
Are we talking about bridges to could connect Olipifirovash to Kiii? That would be neat, but insane. But, I like that sort of thing.
How do we determine if bridges are possible at a location, where we can build bridges to, how the bridges will affect boat traffic?

I believe there are rivers, you just can't see them. Something like that, I don't know.
Olipifirovash to Kiii: Could be possible, very far down the road when Steel type bridges would be introduced. But by then, I believe there would also be airplanes, so you'd then have three ways to travel. Sea, Air, and Land.

the only suggestions i think it's fair to say, "I don't know why it hasn't been implemented yet," about are those whose absence leave the game seriously lacking in some regard. this isn't one of them. it wouldn't drastically change anything, and i think it's arguable whether it would be an improvement. the programming department is very busy you know.

New road types would need to be added. I don't know if Programming or New Lands does that. Depending on which, Programming wouldn't be needed at all. (Well, they WOULD be needed to add new button references, so that it doesn't say "Improve this road", but more like, "Improve/Build this Bridge" but aside from that...)
