Password verification to unsubscribe from cantr

Postby Lone Wolf » Tue Sep 07, 2004 11:55 pm

I've started this in hopes that we can prevent an accidental unsubscription, like what happend to Pirate Lass.

I was sad to hear that nothing could be done to help her....but that's the decision made.

So ...... Do you think that there should be a password verification inorder to unsubscribe?

Eat me.

Oh, yeah, good idea *thumbs up to the person who actually thought of this idea* ;)

I approve this suggestion (in my insignificant opinion)

Other reasons too. Someone mentioned the consequences of a evil person finding a cantr session accidentally left open. Most evil beople might not be able or interested to mess you up too badly in-game, but two mouse clicks...

I fully agree.

And make the period of inactivity allowed until auto-unsupscription a bit longer?
I'm sure XBL is with me on this one. ;)

Maybe disable the account after the current time, but don't delete it... Then, for a limited time, it can be re-enabled by the PD...

But yes, have password confirmation. Maybe even email confirmation as well.

About automatic unsubscription, maybe the time should be depending on how long a person has been registered?

I think that this would be a good idea, or an email sent to your address asking you to confirm it.
