Lockable Storage

Postby formerly known as hf » Fri Aug 06, 2004 2:43 pm

Example: Your character has built a shop/workshop, but now wants somewhere to store valuable goods. A lockable chest?

You could get wood ones, iron or steel enforced wood ones, metal etc. Locks could be built. They could have different strengths, meaning that someone could break into a wooden one more easily than a metal one.
Whoever you vote for.

For now, I think simply "locked" storage is a good suggestion. Make it like all other locks, for now.

Sorry, that didn't make sense - that's kind of what I meant - build storage, then build locks for the storage. That wasn't very clear...

it'd be good if some of the furniture that looks like storage(ie cabin trunk lockable drawers) actually where storage instead of just sitting there filling up the object lists

It would be simple to make the Cabin-Trunk storage. However, we're making it storage for "items", so I understand. That's why it's just a useless thing that does nothing :P

Locking storage containers would be something that Programming would need to do, but there are so many things on their ToDo list, this would be at the bottom - Petty little Low Priority - So sad. :(
