Miss on purpose?

Postby Doug R. » Thu Feb 02, 2012 2:06 pm

I'd like to see that ability to miss an attack on purpose, but still take the tiredness from the attack. There could be all kinds of applications for this.

I like this idea, as long as it just looks like a normal miss.

Especially for people being ordered to strike someone that they do not wish to. :) I like it!

Question: Would it be possible to have a small chance to fail, which would either result in accidentally striking the target - or making the intention to miss obvious to observers?

I think it would be cool if it was possible to fail as RedQueen suggested. Otherwise people would only get suspicious after someone failed to hit several times a row.

The plot thickens....

I could have used this a few times already.

If you still received skill training on the misses just as you do the hits, then I'm all for this. It'd be useful for sparring too, if you want to spar with someone who doesn't have a shield or something.

As well as outsiders being able to see hit-vs-miss, but that's a different suggestion which is lurking somewhere around here.

Good idea.
