What is the problem you want to solve? Are you looking to save clutter on the events page? or reduce database lookups?
The former could also be solved with sorting tabs like on the notes page (see all, Se talking, see giving etc.)
The latter I can't imagine is that much of a problem and you would actually still be making the same amount of references to the database.

You could just install Cantr Enhanced and disable the resource messages.

It sounds good, so I added it for Cantr Enhanced.
Now it works only for Polish, but after translation (could be very difficult because some keywords are on the other position in the regexp) it should be possible to work also for English.

Bump. Everything should work.
Now script does merge events of the same type, when there are no other events between them and there is time difference not larger than 2 minutes.
