I noticed that Cantr II isn't listed on the gamefaqs.com website. I was wondering if it would be okay to post the stats of all the current items that can be produced or would that be any sort of violation of the Capital Rule?
I figure it would be okay to post the list since technically we all have the list but we just have to click each item to see what raw materials + tools (if any) are required to build. Also, posting this kind of list would probably save a little on bandwidth.
I ask cuz I compiled a list of all the items in MS Access so that I have a quick reference for seeing what items I want to produce. Eventually I'll get around to making a search page on my site to do some searches based on tools required, raw materials needed, etc.
Posting tools/clothing data to gamefaqs.com -- okay?

I think it should be okay to post anything that's available in the production menus, since anyone can see/use it and it's really a bitch to have to clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick to see (for example) what kind of boats you can make with your current resources. Anything else (uses, other details) should be kept IC.

I agree, it should be allowed to be posted. It -is- public information. Plus, those people, like me, that run around in GameFAQs to look for new games, might see Cantr and give it a try? Free advertising, yippe!
Plus, you beat me to it, guy! I was planning on, when I had time, to compine a program in VB6 so that you can input what materials you have or want to use, and it'll tell you what you can create, the time it will take, etc. I know nothing about HTML database stuff, so maybe having both a program and a website wouldn't be bad

Okay Anthony I just sent you the database. Keep in mind that the Notes field is incomplete since I haven't farmed/mined every time of resource in the world so I don't know every enhancement bonus. If anybody does have a list of tools and what enhancement bonuses they give to farming, digging, etc., please post it and I'll include it in the All Objects database that'll be used to post the data to gamefaqs.com

So I saw this and shouted yhea haw! because I was slowly discovering things on my own, bit by bit, and I ran right over to gamefaqs to look for it.
It ain't there.
After about an hour and a half of research into starting up a board, I think I discovered the problem, to an extent. Gamefaqs covers commerical games, and Cantr II accepts donations, but doesn't require cash to play. In short, it's not on there because it's too good for them.
If anyone else has a way to distribute what information there is to distribute, I would like to be part of it.

Reality was never my strong point.

Search the General Discussion board for the keywords "Database Program". I made a Visual Basic program with all the things in the listing that was supposed to be realsed to GameFAQs to allow players to easily be able to access item/resource knowledge from their computer.
I haven't updated it lately, so I doubt the recent things like Mud or Water or Glass Beads are in there... or the tools or items like Chest or Dinghy or Soldering Iron. As well, since weapons are changing, they will be wrong. I'll get around to updating it sooner or later, when I have time in my busy (Haha, yeah right) schedule.

I submitted the first version of the FAQ to gamefaqs a few weeks ago but there's a large backlog that they are going through before it'll get to my FAQ. I have a slightly newer version of the FAQ that I've been working on since some of the new raw materials and new tools have been included. I currently have a table listing the manufacturable items at kasuo.com but it's not up-to-date like my FAQ is. I'll guess I'll post a link to the FAQ as soon as I get it uploaded later today or tomorrow.
