As a fighting option which replaces all attack for a day, and adds to defense.

Principally not a bad idea.

It could easily result in some characters becoming invulnerable though. Combat would have to be rebalanced.

If it was implemented, would it not be the default stance of a character when not attacking? To save people activating their parry every day they're not expecting to attack someone.

Also I'm not sure, but doesn't the increase in tiredness from attacking reflect this in a way?

The parry, I assume, would be directed at a specific character, and/or made visible action, stopping the person from working on any projects while it's active.

Well, no. People are already assumed to defend themselves, via a sheild. This is more about forgoing attack in order to defend more than that.

Perhaps a little. Not sure on how tiredness effects defending...

Yes, yes and Hmm. Wouldnt really make much difference about projects would it? I guess we can presume its a dedicated action, so yes I suppose that makes sense? Could make it less worthwhile though, and being defensive in any way is already going to be less frequent than attacks. But I can imagine situations where this is useful.
