I'd love this if more information of climate and such was presented in each location.SekoETC wrote:I don't think there should be any more animals, at least unless a less heavy system is developed. In fact, yesterday I started thinking wouldn't it be better to have names like "big predator", "small predator", "big herbivore", "medium herbivore", "small herbivore" and so forth, then people would know if something is likely trying to eat them or not and people could imagine animals that fit their picture of what kind of animals are suitable for the environment.
Edit: Crap sorry, used to automerge.

How about being able to hunt at sea? You could have sharks and barracuda and the like hanging out in the ocean as you travel on a boat.
Also, what if legendary creatures would spawn at random locations? You could have sasquatch, el chupacabra, lochness monster and giant squids out at sea, and other critters with similar reputations
Perhaps with sea hunting it would be better to use harpoons

Hunting at sea poses a myriad of problems. I wont go into detail here, suffice to say that won't happen.
I've always had a soft spot for unique animals. I wanted to put a tyrannosaurus on one of the abandoned islands, but that was viewed with much displeasure. I don't really have any problems with unique animals, because I think they're fun, but I suppose they smell too much of fantasy for most people.
