make copies of envelopes.

Postby Spillages » Wed Aug 02, 2006 7:36 am

I hate having to take each not out of an envelope and then make copies one by one and then put them back in, make a new envelope, and place all of the copied notes into the envelope.
so we either need to be able to copy envelopes and all of their contents or atleast be able to make copies of multiple notes at once.

I already consider immediate copying of long note as a bit unnatural. So copying an envelope with tens of notes and envelopes inside, and these envelopes could contain even more notes... copying it one step would be way to easy IMO.

Yeah. Never thought of that. Mr Xerox hasn't been spawned yet. It's not that long since all RL stuff had to be copied by hand. Perhaps you could suggest illuminated scrolls for monks to work on for years.

Wouldn't that make it possible to create an exponential amount of rubbish?

10 Make x copies of envelope A_n.
20 Stick copies in envelope A_n+1.
30 n := n + 1;
40 goto 10.

Why would anyone want to make hundreds of notes? Why would anyone to knock in the door 50 times in a row? You underestimate how malicious some people could be.
