There are already various ways of generating random results in game, but they seem so rarely used, I'd have doubts that a random number generator, if implemented, would really get that much use.
(even less use, as I'd bet the dice would be made of ivory
)
By and large, Cantrians don't seem to go in for games, which is somewhat of a shame really.

Ya I like the idea of dice too, we could have the standard 6 sided or we could also make one of those eight sided with more bones, you could chose to loote your die when you make it (but you can also have a project check dice to see if looted)

I'd like to see dice implemented, just so we would have some dodgey gambling businesses or just something to pass the time, reason I think cantrians don't go in for games at the moment is they're too easily rigged, a dice that everyone see's the results to would solve that.
a man is his twenties says: Come on lucky seven!!!
You see a man in his twenties roll a 2 on his dice
a man is his twenties says: No...please don't take my house!

Lying in the depths of your imagination, worlds above and worlds below, you can tell a man from what he has to say

I agree that a simple bone dice would be really good, and not just for the trivia of gambling or games, but times when a leader has to make fair decisions amongst their people or I'd like to RP a character that use dice for all his decisions..
The idea of using a digging project seems totally perverse. For starters only the people on the project can see how much is gathered - a dice should be a public event - not withstanding the idea that people should have to spend an hour digging the ground just to get a random number is so contrived and far from real life anyway. Numbers in cantr are a funny thing - I know exactly what weight of carrots I carry but not how many steps it takes to get somewhere. Anyway I digress!
Dice - good idea, yes please!

On a similar topic.. might we see actual gambling machines, in which you insert a coin, and the chance of output is set by a key you have?

Let's make a 7-side dice ina Cantr. It isn't a real life, physics and dimensions of Cantr are different. Try to imagine a 7-side dice
Yeah, that is why I want it!

ok ... you can't have a regular septahedron because the math breaks down to a repeating fraction. The 7 sided dice have been tested and declared to be as fair if not more fair that traditional 6 siders. However, if you want a 3d die with regular sided, it can be made a la 100 siders, that is a sphere with equal sized circles imbedded into it.
I could make one, and am seriously considering making one for my own amusement.

Reality was never my strong point.

That is why i posted it. There is no other way to create a regular polyhedron with 7 sides, then making a sphere. Something impossible fits into Cantr like many other things e.g. carrot harvester
