But, say you wanted to sleep and not wake up...(Because you the player are going out of town for a week.) So someone says something to you and wakes you up.....Then when you come back a week later you find your character hasn't been sleeping....just because another character spoke to it?

I don't like that at all!

Actually, I would like that. Because just as in real life you would have a hard time getting longer periods of undisturbed rest laying on the street...and that would open up the market for Inns, where you could sleep without having to worry about people disturbing you. (and it would also benifit building your own house of course)

>.> I see that.

Though...I don't know if it is necessary to implement that to get people to use inns........

Even if you didn't have that function to wake someone up, people would still go inside of inns for sleep/not, correct?
(Because Im not suggesting the current rates for tiredness be changed, I think they should remain the same.) The option to just stand in town and rest up would always be there...But the option to go in to an inn/house and use a bed would be there too.

Think about sleeping in real life... You are damn tired. Your mom comes to you and tells you something, or the phone rings, or something. You wake up partially, listen to what they have to say. When they stop, you soon fall asleep again. When you wake up you remember what has been said though you might be unsure if it was a dream or reality.

I think sleeping should be automated. When you stop working on a project, maybe it gives you one Cantr hour to select a new project. If you do not, the character will slide into a dormant state and will wake up if the player logs in. After checking the character, if a new project was not started the character will fall asleep on the hour change. Or maybe set it to two hours instead. And you shouldn't get a hunger message if you're asleep. You still lose strenght though.

In such a case there would have to be ways to chose not to sleep...

i hope something to help comes up soon. i had been unable to play and lost my account but that wasn't too bad i just started over, but now all my chars have cronic fatigue syndrom and are deciding to be thieves more than anything because they can't survive as honest people, one of my char's was collecting food for a couple days, she was exhausted so i stepped into a public building to rest, it's been 5 days and only about 10% of the entire meter has recovered, death by starvation is imminent because the food will run out when the bar is only about 50% and contunuoisly spiral downwards. many of my other chars have the same problem. food will not last long enough for thier tired meters to fill back up.
thought i should post about that to help with analyzing the current system for tweaking.

DON'T COLLECT IN HOURLY PROJECTS!

Used to be I suggested the opposite, but now hourly projects are suicide since you get much more fategue.

If you do daily repeats, I think you'll hardly rack up any fategue from food collecting.
