It wouldn't need an engine, you just drag it to a mountain, and technically the air should carry if the area of the wings is big enough compared to the weight. Sure, it would be cool to test some prototypes but then broken bones should be coded in... Yeah, and if any aerial vessels are added then you should see a wider part of the map.

Altitude is not programmed into the game, and that's such a huge dimension to add, that I don't think the benefit outweighs the effort.

Who needs to program altitude. Just make boats which can travel over land. I may be way over my head here but it doesn't sound so difficult. *scratches head* :?

Oooh... I like that... I'm not sure how the Cantr map is programmed, but with mountains, deserts, forests and grass lands, if they're programmed in the same way as sea, it might be possible to limit a 'boat' to anything but mountains?
Whoever you vote for.

Yeh, then at least ther'd be a few obstacles for planes. Good shout!

..and maybe some larger planes which could go over mountains. Boeings, Concordes (RIP) needing lots of steel and iron.

In response to the darter issue, perhaps re-checking those values compared to all the metals that are needed, isn't necessarily a bad idea.

"TWA stops because it has reached a mountain
You see a man in his twenties die
You see a woman in her fourties die
You see a man in his twenties die
You see a man in his twenties die
You see a man in his thirties die
You see a woman in his sixties die
You are killed by a mountain"
1223-4: You kill a elephant using a longbow.

Darters are fast.
I'm doubting you performed a controlled experiment, if you determined a longboat is faster.
Consider weight.

I didn't say a longboat was faster, for I was comparing to other vessels.

But whatever, I can't complain, as I've got a variety of boats with my characters (6/8 my chars own ships, and the 7th can access one)

The Darter specs are being looked at, which may or may not lead to changes.

Well gee, thanks for pointing out the only two possibilities in existance.

(don't mind me, it's just that phrase is on my bad list (it's a long list))
