It would be nice to be able to name the seas and bays and things.

And fishing boats would be fabulous. Maybe they could somehow be surrounded by schools of fish and use nets to catch them. Nets can be knotted by hand from string.

Well just make it worth it so that there is an actual bonus to cooking fish then harvesting potatoes. Right now finishing is absolutly pointless.

Unless you are lost at sea and starving to death, of course. Then it would be nice to be able to grill up some fishies but I'd also like to be able to eat seafood raw.

I saw the best documentary show on TV about a family that was sailing around the world when their boat was attacked by a pod of killer whales and sank in 60 seconds. Then they had to survive in a life raft for a month. They would have died except for the fish that kept jumping into their raft which they, of course, ate raw and also drank the water from the fish vertabra. Later they figured out how to catch the fish with a line and also to grab sea turtles that came to the surface. Eventually they were rescued by a Japanese fishing boat.

So, anyway, it would be fun to be able to catch things from boats - fish, turtles, whales, squid, seals. Also, could hunt sea birds like gulls and pelicans.

yeah... grilling fishies would be nice except you can't use fire pits to do that. :x So you can't cook fish on boats apparently.

Man, why can't we grill fish? That doesn't make any sense!

This is an often suggested, and great idea. The general problem seems to be that it'd require extra programming, so I was thinking about how to implement this without the need for extra programming.

This all hinges on the assumption that some machines can be limited so that they can only be built on boats - I don't know if that's the case? Or if that is something that can be easily added?
------------------------------------------
The idea is this:
A macine called 'Fishing Kit' (ok - I couldn't think of a good name)
Requirements:
-500g wood
-It could possibly require iron, my feeling would be that it should be somehting that can be made easily, but if not, than maybe a requirment of 100g iron.

Using it would, as usual give you the drop-box of projects:
-Fishing for trout
-Fishing for cod
-Fishing for (whatever other types of fish there are)

Each project would then list, for example:
-In one day you can produce 100g of cod. Please enter the amount you wish to produce. Max Amount: 1200g

The tools requirment for the project should be a fishing pole
----------------------------------------------------

This would work in very much the same way as the harvestors currently do - exactly the same way os other machines, except that it produces a raw resource with mo inputs.

One problem though, would be those boats that have been built in-land...
Whoever you vote for.

How abot this?

For the smaller fish, like tuna, or clown fish, you can use a net, or dragg net, to fish them in. Tees would bee machines, and there would be a project, "Fishing with net".Were as, there would be small nets, fishing spears, and fishing rods, wich would also count as projects.

It only matters on how close you are to the water to determin how many fish you catch.

And as for the bigger fish, like, moby dick, or a giant squid, They would be dockable, And as seeing we will soon have cannones, and, as i would think, we will be able to fire at other ships, we could attak these squid's or Moby's with cannones, or other longrange whepons. And then a carcas would appear, a dockable carcas, and there would be a project dokking squid, or doking Moby, that would lift these cretures apon your boat, apon wich these carcases would either

1) despence into recourses or,

2) would need a project to get the fish out of the carcass.
