Which is why we need programming for animals to be draggable and tameable so that ownership of sorts can be developed and societies will have to decide how to allow for ownership and distribution of their animal populations.

perhap's make it an all day event to hunt an animal but you can't pick the animal you get but you get a garenteed kill from it.

What about training animals? I've been wondering about this, thinking of using one of my chars as a hawk-trainer. Treat the animal like it's a weapon, but only able to hit other animals? I know at one point someone had talked about training horses, but I didn't know if anyone had considered any of the other animals. I was thinking that a hawk would automatically retal if you got hit with about the strength of a regular hawk. Perhaps it could be a project like breaking a lock, where you could succeed or fail and it takes about 5 days to train it? Just a thought.

Sounds good. Animal domestication would have to come before hawk training, though.
