Minute donating can lead to trading mitutes for real money too, and this would be impossible to trace...
But other thing which is on my mind. I wonder why Cantr is on so much expensive server and still this sever have bandwidth limit... One of Polish players send me PM asking that. He wrote that there are many decent servers in Poland which are cheap and without bandwidth limit.
But on other hand. Time limit is good to not allow some chars to be too much active, so other less active players can still handle the game events...
possibility for sharing minutes

I think this is a horrible idea... not only coersion, but we'd also see comments like "OOC: hey Joe, can you give me some minutes or I'll be asleep in five minutes, my ID is 12345" in town square... not what we want.
It would be impossible for the PD to track cases were minutes were exchanged for IG goods... their job is hard enough as it is. It would be a CRB for both parties, obviously, but almost untracable.
I personally can't imagine anyone paying RL money for IG resources... but hey, I've heard of stranger things than that. There has been an item on the news, last month or so, that somewhere in Asia a guy actually killed someone (yes, a RL kill!) over a rare magic sword in a popular game that actually had a RL value... He tried the cops first but they said they couldn't take a stealing report for something that didn't actually exist...
But I don't think anything vaguely like this is happening in Cantr; the spirit of the game is totally different because, unlike other games, it is free and you can't boost your char's performance with RL money via game rules. And we should keep it that way.

I don't like the idea of sharing minutes (not in reality - it's joked about enough)
but this reminded me of something I suggested a while ago - that donations could add minutes - but for everyone (so not only the person that donates gets the benefit) - 10 mins/$1 or something like that
Although, as it stands, most people never use all 200 minutes, so this would be a bit unfair to the new addicts not yet used to min-saving techniques...

Well, a few points about this one:
1) The server is not really expensive. It's the cheapest I could find back then. I think it was you who gave me some links to alternative servers, but most of them are not dedicated servers. We have a P4 Hyper-Threading, 80 Gb HD, 1 Gb RAM, etc. server all for ourselves, for $99 a month.
2) The minutes are originally implemented for bandwidth reasons, but we are not that tight on bandwidth at the moment. We leave the limit to a) be able to expand our player base without worries; b) allow people that have less time a day than 200 minutes to play competitively in the game. When we did not have this limit some people chatted so much in the game that it was impossible to play for people with less time.
3) Thanks to donors and Google Ads, we can afford the servers currently, so there is not really a problem.

We have long had the policy that more wealthy players should not get in-game advantages over less wealthy players. Many players are even too young to have their own credit card. I think this would not be a fair policy. I would like to give somehow advantages to donors, but not this way.
Besides, we have enough players who feel they should donate without those advantages, so perhaps it's not needed.

Yeah, I know, that's my biggest worry too.
I knew you would be against

Yeah well that wasn't exacly a hard one, was it?
Besides, like Seko said I believe, the minutes are a minimum kind of built-in protection against addiction... spending three hours a day on Cantr (not even including minute-saving techniques, forum and chat presence) might even be considered to be very much for "just a game" already... and if you still want more Cantr, just join staff...

But Jur, I STILL don't have enough Cantr! STILL!
Neh, 200 minutes is fine, trading it will cause problems, I'm sure. I'm thinking the act of multiple accounts will skyrocket, and I SERIOUSLY don't want to encounter Jur's OOC comments in game scenario, for a character asking for more minutes. I'd go nuts if I seen that. ...I'd go MORE nuts, correction.
The fact of the matter is, 200 is really enough. -I- don't even go through all that, and I have 15 characters, -many- of which are high standing. I just take my time when I do things, and play Cantr like it should be played. Slow.
